Press Release- 2013 Collegiate Retailer of the Year Award Winner!
March 11, 2013

About the Award
The NACS Foundation Collegiate Retailer of the Year Award recognizes the highest level of collegiate retailing excellence. One college store will be recognized and presented with a $5,000 award on a biennial basis.

The Collegiate Retailer of the Year Award is underwritten through the Tommye and Keith Miller Endowment fund. Their passion for the industry inspired the Miller’s to endow a prestigious award that would celebrate a dynamic and forward-thinking store’s achievement.

This award reflects the very essence of Tommye’s philosophy on how to operate a successful college store that is an indispensable resource to its campus. By holding yourself and staff accountable to the highest standards possible; developing key relationships with faculty, students and administrators; being creative with merchandising; using new and emerging technologies; creating an exciting and inviting store environment; and developing staff to help them reach their career goals—all while supporting the academic mission and being profitable from a retail perspective.

The NACS Foundation Board of Directors is solely responsible for all decisions regarding the awarding of the Collegiate Retailer of the Year.
